Executive Home Care of San Diego was built on purpose, service, and the belief that seniors deserve to age with dignity in the place they call home.

For owners Haley Welsh and Michael Nef, this journey is deeply personal. Together, they made the intentional decision to step away from corporate careers and dedicate their lives to serving seniors and families during some of life’s most important moments.

Haley began caregiving straight out of high school, developing a deep respect for seniors and the responsibility that comes with caring for someone’s loved one. She later spent more than a decade as an engineer and land surveyor, gaining the organization, precision, and problem-solving skills that now shape her approach to care coordination. As a proud U.S. veteran, Haley brings discipline, accountability, and a strong service-driven mindset into every aspect of the agency.

Michael’s path began in Switzerland, where he grew up surrounded by values of respect, warmth, and thoughtful care for older adults. After building a successful career in Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations in the U.S., he felt called to make a more personal impact. Inspired by European caregiving traditions and the community-driven values he has embraced in America, Michael brings a unique blend of professionalism, elegance, and compassion to home care in San Diego.

Coming from a large, close-knit family, Haley understands the importance of trust, communication, and showing up for the people you love. Together, she and Michael believe that family, friendship, and connection are at the heart of quality care. That belief shapes how they lead their team and how every client is treated—not as a case, but as a person.

Office Manager / Care Coordinator

As a proud San Diego native who grew up in Imperial Beach and Chula Vista, I’ve always believed that community, connection, and compassion are at the heart of great care. My journey in the health field spans more than 20 years, shaped by diverse experiences and a deep commitment to supporting others.

For two decades, I lived in Valdez, Alaska, where I raised my daughter as a single parent and built a meaningful career in healthcare. I spent 16 years at the local hospital as the Lead Health Unit Coordinator, and I also served as a caregiver for seniors and individuals with disabilities. During that time, I helped launch a volunteerbased nonprofit inhome care organization—an experience that strengthened my belief in the power of service, dignity, and human connection.

Today, I bring that same understanding and compassion to Executive Home Care. I support both our caregivers and our clients with the goal of meeting seniors exactly where they are—honoring their independence, their stories, and the lives they love. My purpose is to ensure every client is matched with a caregiver who fits their needs, personality, and lifestyle, creating relationships that bring love, laughter, joy, and comfort into the home.

Caring for others is more than a profession for me—it’s a calling. And I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to help our seniors continue living life to the fullest, with dignity and warmth.
